Do you live, work or play in Alphington, Bundoora, Fairfield, Macleod, Northcote East or Thornbury East? It’s time to let us know on Your Street, Your Say – have we got it right?

We recently asked everyone in these areas about experiences of walking, cycling, scooting, driving and playing in local streets.

Thanks to everyone who responded. We received more than 1,800 contributions which helped us understand key issues for the community. This information has contributed to finding the priority locations and designing draft concept plans for changes like pedestrian crossings, speed humps and reduced speed limits.

Have Your Say

We are asking for feedback on proposed projects in the Group B area. We are also asking some questions about speed limits in the area. Log in or register to provide your feedback below. If you would like to provide feedback another way please contact our project team at yourstreet.yoursay@darebin.vic.gov.au or phone 8470 8888

Feedback on speed limits

What happens next?

Proposed projects: Some projects won't be started right away, but those not included now will be considered in the future through the Council’s annual budget process. This ensures resources are directed to the areas most immediately in need.

The first round of consultation feedback also helped us identify some operational projects that we also need your feedback on. These are low-cost changes and most can happen quickly.

Speed limit reductions: Council will undertake further community engagement on a proposed 30 km/hr speed limit area near an activity centre or school before implementing a trial. The information collected on 40km/h speed limits will be used when considering future applications for 40km/h speed limits on local streets in Darebin.

Thank you for contributing and helping make Darebin a great place to live, work and play for everyone.
