Council has put together a plan to generate the income needed to deliver its programs, services and capital works commitments for the next four years.

The Revenue and Rating Plan is a new requirement of the Local Government Act 2020. It is a requirement of every Victorian council and supports the delivery of the promises set out in the four-year Council Plan.

Community feedback was sought from 4 to 26 May 2021. At its meeting on 28 June 2021, Council adopted the Revenue and Rating Plan 2021-25.

Why is a Revenue and Rating Plan needed?

The purpose of the Revenue and Rating Plan is to determine the most appropriate and affordable revenue and rating approach for Council which in combination with other income sources will provide the funds required to finance the objectives in the Council Plan. Council is required to adopt a four-year Revenue and Rating Plan by 31 October 2021 to take effect from 1 July 2021.
