Darebin City Council adopted the Early Years Infrastructure Planning Framework at the Council meeting on 23 May 2022. The Planning Framework was adopted following public consultation from September 2021 to March 2022 on the Early Years Infrastructure Plan.

The Planning Framework will guide Council’s work over coming years to provide the buildings and spaces the Darebin community will need so that young children and families can get the services they need to thrive. In particular, the Framework will guide Council’s planning for facilities for maternal and child health services, kindergarten, long day care, occasional care, playgroups and toy libraries.
