What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about pedestrian safety on Wood Street, particularly for children, due to limited pedestrian crossings and vehicle speeds along the street.

What we're proposing

We are proposing the following improvements for Wood Street from High Street to Plenty Road:

•  Raised priority pedestrian (wombat) crossing near park
•  Raised platform at school crossing
•  Three additional speed humps.

These treatments are expected to have the following benefits:

•  Improved pedestrian safety and accessibility (noting proximity to schools and park)
•  Reduced vehicle speeds.
