What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about safety on Walker Street near the Merri Creek Trail, due to lack of safe walking and cycling infrastructure in a very constrained environment.

What we're proposing

Raised pavement at bend incorporating single lane (2- way) slow-point and provide path along south-western side for pedestrians:

• splitter islands on Tambo Avenue at the Yarra Street intersection (north and south legs).

These treatments are expected to have the following benefits:

• reduced vehicle speeds
• improved pedestrian safety (new path)
• improved safety for all road users and
• improved cyclist safety (associated with very low vehicle speeds).
