What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about cyclist safety on Tyler Street from Plenty Road to Darebin Creek, due to cars parked in the bike lane and lack of separation between bike lanes and vehicular traffic.

What we're proposing

We are proposing the following improvements for Tyler Street from Plenty Road to Darebin Creek:

• raised platform at school crossings near McColl Street and East Preston Islamic College
• seven speed humps along route and
• raised priority pedestrian (wombat) crossing near Crevelli Street.

These treatments are expected to have the following benefits:

• reduce vehicle speeds and
• improved pedestrian and cyclist safety.
