What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about cyclist safety on Tyler Street from High Street to Plenty Road, due to lack of separation from vehicular traffic.

What we're proposing

We are proposing the following improvements for Tyler Street from High Street to Plenty Road:

• cycle safe lane dividers along bike lane. Note the road width is not sufficient to provide a kerb along the bike lane and
• replace speed cushions with permanent speed humps (and remove rubber kerb/posts).

These treatments are expected to have the following benefits:

• improved cyclist safety and comfort and
• discourages vehicle encroachment in bicycle lane.
