What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about pedestrian safety on Gower Street near the library due to traffic volumes, vehicle speeds, and proximity to the school.

What we're proposing

We are proposing the following improvements for Gower Street, Preston, near the library:

• raised pedestrian crossing (wombat) with flashing lights to prioritise pedestrian crossing movements and reduce vehicle speeds.

This treatment is expected to have the following benefits:

•  improve pedestrian safety and
•  reduce vehicle speeds.
