What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about the lack of safe cycling facilities between La Trobe University and the Darebin Creek Trail.

What we're proposing

We are proposing the following improvements for Dunne Street, Kingsbury:

• raised intersections at Ellerslie St, and Stymie St
• raised priority pedestrian (wombat) crossing near park & shops
• raised platform at school crossing near Maryborough Avenue
• two speed humps near Darebin Creek Trail crossing points and
• long term: provide a protected cycling facility (to be determined in conjunction with Department of Transport and Planning).

These treatments are expected to have the following benefits:

• reduce vehicle speeds and
• improve pedestrian and cyclist safety.
