What we've heard

During the first round of consultation, we heard the community is concerned about pedestrian and cyclist safety on Cheddar Road, particularly at Carol Street, Hickford Street and near Ruthven Station.

What we're proposing

We are proposing the following improvements for Cheddar Road between Carrol Street and Hickford Street:

• pedestrian operated signals at Crookston Street
• pavement markings near Carol Street and
• long term: Traffic signals at Hickford Street.

These treatments are expected to have the following benefits:

• provide safe pedestrian crossing opportunities and
• increase driver awareness and reduce vehicle speeds near Carol Street (southbound).
