The Darebin Road works are completed and the intersection is now operational.

Parking Changes

Parking arrangements have changed along Darebin Road as part of the new works. These changes include the removal of on street parking along Darebin Road between Arthur Street and the entrance to John Cain Memorial Park. These changes have been implemented to ensure the traffic flow and safety is maintained along the road network. The new parking arrangements will continue to be monitored over the coming months.

Ample car parking is available at the Arthur Street carpark, which is a short walk (less than 100m) to factory outlets and accessible carpark bays will be provided.

Changed Traffic Conditions – Sparks Avenue

Traffic conditions at the intersection of Sparkes Avenue and Darebin Rd has also changed. Right hand turn access will not be allowed from Sparks Avenue onto Darebin Road. These changes were implemented to ensure the traffic flow and safety is maintained for road users. Advanced “no right-hand turn” signs will be installed at the intersection of Steane Street and Sparks Avenue to advise drivers of these changed conditions. All east bound drivers should use Steane Street and Grange Road to access Darebin Road. These arrangements will continue to be monitored over the coming months.
