On 24 April 2023 Council adopted the Place and Road Naming Policy 2022.

A proposal was put forward and adopted by Council at that meeting that new and replacement street signage would include historical details of the origin of the street name, if known. This initiative will further promote the cultural heritage and diversity of the Darebin community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the consultation. It is important that the Darebin community participates in Policy making and has the opportunity to influence the final outcome.

All survey results were collated and presented to Council with no identifying data included. There was majority support for the Policy, which was adopted by Council.
