We're advocating for a connected north

Tell us what you think about Northern Trails 2022 – a regional walking and bike riding trails strategy for the councils of Moreland, Darebin, Banyule, Hume, Whittlesea, and Nillumbik.

We created this strategy together so we can effectively plan and advocate for the development of regional trails that connect Melbourne’s north.

This is an updated version of the Northern Regional Trails Strategy from 2016, which helped us obtain $11 million State Government funding to deliver many great projects.

Have your say on the updated Northern Regional Trails Strategy

Through the 2022 strategy we’ve identified 10 trail priority projects for funding across the six council areas. We want to hear what you think about these!

We assessed all the strategy’s projects against a set of criteria to narrow it down to the 10 most important for the broader region.

If your favourite or local trail is not found in the list, it doesn’t mean it isn’t important. We still want to hear what you think and we will use your feedback to plan and advocate for trails at a local level.

Have your say on the strategy by taking our quick survey hosted by Banyule City Council – consultation closes on 19th September.
