Help us improve your reserve
The plywood train at H Swain Reserve is a beloved play feature of this local park in Preston. A structural assessment has found that the plywood train will soon be reaching the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. The current model does not accommodate all members of our diverse community and is not an accessible play option.
This train has brought joy to local children for many years, and we are committed to ensuring it can continue to be enjoyed for many more.
What's next?
Council recognises that the original structure holds value for many local families and will work to preserve its character as a vital part of this renewal project.
Our goal is to update and enhance this play piece to ensure it meets accessibility needs for all children and our diverse and vibrant community.
We wish to ensure that our renewal of this item fits with the community vision for this space.
We invite you to share your views.
