Edwardes Lake Park in Reservoir is a popular destination for the community to meet, exercise and play.
Darebin City Council is creating a new off-lead dog area at Edwardes Lake Park and we want to know what you think of the design.
Darebin City Council acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government.
What’s happened so far
As part of a review of the existing Edwardes Lake masterplan, Council completed two phases of community consultation in 2016/2017. A number of key improvements for the site were identified, including a dedicated off-lead dog area.
We have listened to community feedback and are excited to now share our plans for a new off-lead dog area at Edwardes Lake Park.
Located on Seaver Grove, Reservoir West, this will be a dedicated green space for the community to socialise and exercise their dogs.
What’s happening now?
We invited the community to complete a survey between 23 September and 17 October 2021. The survey has now closed and we have collated all responses and prepared an updated concept design. This was due to be presented at the Council Meeting on 15 December 2021 for a final decision. Due to time constraints, this report was presented and endorsed at the Special Council Meeting on 23 December 2022. You can read a copy of the Council Meeting report here.
