Project background
Have your say on the draft Flag Policy.
Darebin City Council has several council-managed flagpoles across various municipal sites. To help us manage flying of flags on council-managed flagpoles in Darebin we have developed the draft Flag Policy. This policy will provide a framework for managing community flagpoles and flying flags associated with Days of Observance, community-nominated flags and international flags.
Flags are important symbols or emblems representing a country, group or organisation. Flags can also celebrate festivals and events or highlight things that are important to the local community.
We are committed to getting this policy right!
We appreciate that conversations around different issues may evoke strong emotions.
In the interest of ensuring respectful and civil conversation, and to keep feedback focused on this consultation, we will moderate content and remove elements that are deemed disrespectful or not relevant to this project.
